The B&O Station originated in 1905 as a B&O Station RR Train Depot. It carries an emotional load for several Youngstown residents, as they have fond memories of seeing off family members as they headed off on the train, some even to war. It is registered as a Historical Place. Maintaining a large building built over a century ago brings its challenges. We are proud to do our part preserving this gem for generations to come. Recently, we have replaced the roof, windows, air conditioning units, lighting, indoor ceiling/plaster repairs, and are still working on more to come.

Robert and Michele Cassile Arroyo

Our journey here began with Robert and Michele. Well known and loved in the community, the couple poured their love and energy into the property creating a space for local artists to gather, family and friends to celebrate, and different craft brewers to experiment their brews. Michele, a whole foods naturalist, master pianist and a member of Artists of the Rust Belt, could be occasionally found playing the baby grand piano at the Butler Museum, working on her next masterpiece, or spending time with her family and friends. Robert, a master carpenter, had a love for antiques, which led him to purchase the property in 2001. He had a passion for salvaging, preserving and restoring beautiful woodwork and could be found most weekends at his wood shop with the doors open for business and visitors. Today, you can find his handiwork all throughout the Station. They were the kind of people who would give the shirt off their back. Their legacy lives on in their children and in the visitors whose hearts they touched along the way.
